This patient is a 37 year old female who was referred to our practice for a Mohs closure. She was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma and had it removed with one round of Mohs procedure by her Dermatologist. Dr. Mountcastle performed the closure the same day as her Mohs procedure with nearly no scarring. To prevent significant scarring after a procedure, patients are recommended to avoid sun exposure to the incision site, and apply scar creams after their sutures are removed -- We sell medical-grade scar cream in the office!
