This patient presented to our office with complaint of keloid on right ear due to an ear piercing. The patient reports it had been growing and causing itchiness. Dr. Mountcastle uses a 3-step technique to remove stubborn keloids. 1. Injection of steroids into symptomatic lesion (day 1) 2. Injection with excision of symptomatic lesion (day 30) 3. Injection of steroid into scar to prevent recurrence (day 60). The patient followed up with additional steroid injection until lesion was asymptomatic. She is overall happy with results!
