Procedure Details

47-year-old patient came to Dr. Mountcastle complaining about pain and warmness in her neck, the patient also had a fever which can happen when something is infected. Dr. Mountcastle made a nicking incision in the skin which substantially decompressed the swelling. He then packed the wound with a penrose drain, he had the patient come back a few more times after the surgery to check the status of the infected cyst. The patient is very happy she no longer is in pain and the area is healed with minimal scarring.
