Procedure Details

44 year old patient came to Dr. Mountcastle's office with a suspicious mole next to her left eye. Dr. Mountcastle removed the mole and send it off to pathology. The pathology read that the mole was basal cell carcinoma, which is a form of skin cancer. The patient came back a month later for Dr. Mountcaslte to excise more tissue to make sure he got clear margins, the specimen was sent it to pathology again to confirm it was all removed, which it was. The patient is very happy to no longer have skin cancer and is also very impressed with how little scaring there is.
