This 54 year old female patient suffered from breast hypertrophy, an overgrowth of breast tissue. She was experiencing all of the typical symptoms of this condition including shoulder grooving, rashes, and back pain. After a consultation with Dr. Mountcastle, she was scheduled to undergo a breast reduction procedure six months later, which was covered by her insurance. This breast reduction was particularly challenging due to the asymmetry of the patient's breasts. Dr. Mountcastle removed a total of 515 grams of tissue from the larger left breast, and 300 grams from the smaller right one. The patient was left with a symmetrical, lighter, and perkier chest. She was extremely pleased with her results.
